Bomfi Let me explain the meaning of the word Bomfi. It is a twentieth century word created by our children one morning at breakfast. We were having boiled eggs and the tops had been cut off by my wife. One of the girls picked up a severed top and said "This is a bomfi!" So the word passed into the family vocabulary. We always had dogs and one day I was seduced by a lovely black furry puppy in a litter that was to be sold. I brought her home and we named her Bomfi. She was a Bouvier de Flandres - a Belgian cattle dog and a most intelligent breed and the best dog I ever had. Her real name was Grizzly Bear Suntrana. This site is named in her memory. Bomfi also appears to be a proper name in some countries.
